Howard Silverman is Ecotrust's Senior Writer and Analyst. Working with the organization since 1999, he has guided the development of Ecotrust communications and publications in a wide variety of media. Silverman provides strategic support in creative direction, messaging, editing, writing, and public engagement.
His public speaking covers a wide range of topics and has included events and workshops with: Portland State University Center for Urban Studies, Hatfield School of Government, and Center for Public Humanities, Bioneers, Portland Metro, Pacific Northwest College of Art, Art Institute of Portland, Audubon Expedition Institute, University of Portland, and Cascadia Convergence.

Silverman received a BS in Economics from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and comes to Ecotrust with a background as an English teacher, web designer, and translator of Mandarin Chinese.
