Earth Care Summit

A gathering to support, celebrate, inspire and connect congregations on the path of earth care and stewardship. Join Ecumenical Ministries of Oregon’s Interfaith Network for Earth Concerns and co-sponsors for a locally grown dinner, inspirational speakers, information tables, auction of green products and services, and presentations from congregations about their earth care efforts. Meet in Roundtables with community representatives from conservation agencies and groups to discuss a variety of topics applicable to congregations including sustainable purchasing, starting or revitalizing a care for creation team, food and faith, community gardens, watershed stewardship, zero waste gatherings, creation and worship, and more. Pre-registration is required.
Cost: $25/person ($22 by January 13th) and $15/students and seniors

Join Ecotrust/Edible Portland and Slow Food Portland for a fun and tasty lesson in chocolate and coffee flavors, sourcing, and local production in a round-robin evening of local artisan tastings. Attendees will rotate through sampling stations of our region’s best chocolatiers and coffee roasters. Come for the stimulating flavors and take home a new understanding of the skills and dedication these Northwest business apply to importing and producing fine coffees and chocolates. With Valentine's Day around the corner, it’s the perfect time to fall in love with your local chocolatiers and roasters.
