Jim Rowan orchestrated 21,300 meals in February — and that didn't include snacks.
From his office in the back corner of the Astoria High School cafeteria, the director of the Astoria School District's food service didn't bat an eye when mentioning the thousands of lunches and breakfasts his crew prepared in the basic kitchen each month.
