Spend A Few Minutes With This Film on Growing a New Economy
There is perhaps at least one positive side effect to this dormant economy.
Some otherwise-unemployed young professionals have used their free time and skills along with Ecotrust to produce this open source film about building local living economies.
Many of the interviewees are Portland locals who recognize that creating environmentally sustainable businesses are often better for the environment and create both local jobs and local dollars.
But rather than me telling you the 10-minute film is worth watching, watch it for yourself.
